of full page magazine ads (8" x 11") that include: The Herkimer's OK Cub gas powered Hot Rod. ---The Cox Thimble Drome Mercedes Benz W196 Grand Prix racer.--- The Herkimer's OK Cub-Kart and the McCoy Mighty "Nike" Rocket Racer.... The original pages were in fair to good condition, and the color copies reflect this condition .....   We were questioned about a statement we made a few weeks ago, regarding  a gas powered "All American Hot Rod" ------- The  Hot Rod (a push-pull toy)  was advertised  as early as November of 1948 in a issue of "Model Race Car " magazine ,the ad stared that  it could easily be converted to gas power with one of the many aftermarket kits available....and that the manufacture has not set a price .   In early 1949, issues of  Hot Rod Magazine ran ads as being  a " Whip Racer or Boy Powered Racer " , the Hot Rod was advertised in all major toy, tether car racing (Rail & Cable News) hobby,big car, magazines, and catalogs up until  about 1956.....  We are including (1) page (black & white)  that we put together  from different ads ,regarding the availability (mid 50's) of a  "Ready to Run",  McCoy powered, All American Hot Rod that you could buy mail order from a Calif. company. . How many were made ?  .. and sold   ?
