    Description

I have the honor and privilege of selling the collection of an avid and discerning collector of Mauchline Ware consisting of transfer, checker, Parian, fern and tartan ware with a smattering of a few other finishes. I will be listing them in bite size batches over the next several months so that over time collectors can absorb the depth and breadth of the collection. This gentleman amassed an amazing collection of pieces, some of which I have never seen before and I have seen many collectors' collections over the years. This incredible miniature boxed set of Sir Walter Scott's poetical works contains six miniature books published by David Bryce & Son, Glascow. They are as follows; Marmion, Lady of the Lake, Rokeby and The  Field of Waterloo, Lay of the Last Minstrel, The Bridal of Triermain, Lord of the Isles  and The Vision of Don Roderick.
Each book is in excellent condition, has a lithograph on the frontice page and gilt writing and decoration. The box has a transfer of Sir Walter Scott, Bart and Abbotsford, the home of Scott. When closed, the box
    measures 3.0" tall, 4.0" long or wide and is 2 11/16" deep. Each book is 3 3/8" by 2 5/8". I
t is in overall excellent condition with no noticeable flaws or damage, but please look at the pictures to evaluate the overall condition. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS ITEM AND DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM PLEASE MAKE ME AWARE OF THAT BEFORE BIDDING WHEN I AM STILL ABLE TO OPT OUT. White spots, if any, are camera glare.  Successful buyer is responsible for shipping and insurance and payment must be received within ten (10) business days of the close of the auction or the sale may be voided. Thanks for your interest and good luck!
